Cheney challenger wins big in Wyoming GOP activists' straw poll

Harriet Hageman, whom Trump endorsed in September to challenge Cheney in the Republican primary, won the straw poll conducted by the Wyoming Republican State Central Committee with 59 votes, the Casper Star-Tribune reported on Saturday.

Cheney came in a distant second with six votes.

The incumbent drew Trump’s ire when she voted — along with nine other Republicans — to impeach the president on Jan. 13 over his role in the Jan. 6. Capitol riot.

The daughter of former Vice President Dick Cheney, she and Rep. Adam Kinzinger of Illinois are the only Republicans on the House select committee investigating Jan. 6.

GOP gubernatorial candidate Lombardo leads

According to a new poll, Nevada gubernatorial GOP candidate Joe Lombardo held a slight lead over Democrat incumbent Steve Sisolak. In a Club for Growth survey of likely voters released Wednesday, Lombardo received 48 percent of respondents support while Sisolak garnered 47 percent.

Lombardo, who is the current Sheriff of Clark County and received 45th President Donald Trump’s endorsement in April, won the GOP nomination on Tuesday. In a speech on election night, he said the win was not just about him.

 

Trump’s picks win big in Nev., S.D., S.C. primaries

It appears former President Donald Trump continues to have the Midas touch in the Republican Party as his picks dominated primaries in South Carolina, Nevada and North Dakota.

The biggest news coming out of Tuesday’s contest was Trump-backed Russel Fry’s defeat of incumbent Rep. Tom Rice in South Carolina. Fry won with more than 51 percent, therefore, eliminating a no run-off. Rice, who voted to impeach Trump in 2021, said earlier Tuesday that Trump’s hold on the GOP was waning.


“I had hoped that the situation would have been reversed, but again, this seat doesn’t belong to me,” Rice stated. “It belongs to the voters, right? It’s what they want…

Fry became the first Trump-backed candidate to oust a GOP incumbent this primary season. However, Trump’s dark horse Katie Arrington was edged out by Rep. Nancy Mace by less than 10 points. Trump, who has shunned Mace over the past several months, congratulated her on Truth Social and asserted she should easily be able to defeat her Democrat opponent in November.

Governor Henry McMaster was nominated for a second term in South Carolina with 83 percent of the vote.




Meanwhile in Nevada, former Attorney General Adam Laxalt won the state’s Republican Senate primary. The Trump-endorsee took more than 50 percent of the vote, while fending off a challenge from retired Captain Sam Brown. Laxalt will now advance to face Democrat incumbent Sen. Catherine Cortez Masto.




Also in Neveda, Jim Marchant won the GOP nomination for the state’s Secretary of State with 36 percent of the vote. Finally in North Dakota, Senate candidate John Hoeven and congressional candidate Kelly Armstrong swept through the GOP primary with Trump’s backing.

The US turned into a shit hole country under Trump where he corrupted the entire federal government for his own political gain and then staged a deadly insurrection and attempted coup to overthrow the results of a free and fair election and democracy itself to make himself dictator for life.

Trump inherited a growing economy and only had one crisis to deal with which was the COVID pandemic. And Trump not only failed to deal with COVID he spread it from coast to coast and needlessly killed hundreds of thousands of Americans by going against everything the scientists and health care processionals said. That was something that was actually in Trump's own control.

Now President Biden is definitely having a tough time right now with inflation and the price of oil. neither of which he has much if any control over. In fact the world oil monopoly is using the price of oil to cripple his presidency But President Biden is definitely using whatever power he does have to try and rein in those costs. And a lot of the inflation and price of oil is the direct result of Putin/Russia starting a war with Ukraine which President Biden most certainly has no control over.

But while dealing with those issues President Biden and his administration respect and obey the Constitution, the rule of law, and our institutions. Instead of screaming for the DOJ to go after his political enemies Gar;and and the DOJ are back to being independent of the White House as they are supposed to be. So are the other government agencies while under Trump he even made the National Weather Service lie for him because Trump used a sharpie to change a weather map instead of simply admitting he was wrong when he said a hurricane was gong to hit Alabama.

President Biden and his administration has made lots of mistakes. But they are honest mistakes where they just go something wrong and had to go back and correct it. But President Biden and his administration are transparent and admit their mistakes. As opposed to Trump and his administration who concealed and lied about everything while they lined their own pockets at taxpayer expense.

President Biden is far from perfect but there is ample proof all over this forum that Trump was the most mentally ill, stupid and ignorant, incompetent, corrupt, deadly, and treasonous president in American history.

And people who support that traitor are traitors themselves
