Israeli Election:

The American Leftist media is still running with "too close to call."

But according to Reuters, Benjamin "Bibi" Netanyahu has claimed victory and has moved on to planning the parliamentary maneuvers that will be necessary to ensure the smooth continuation of the Likud Party.

So either Bibi is deluded, or the American Leftist media is faithfully reporting the Obama Administration's wishful thinking.

Here in America it's not official yet, but the possibility that Bibi has won opens many interesting opportunities for speculation:

How much egg is on Obama's face, after all the millions in U.S. taxpayer dollars he has spent in his attempts to rig the Israeli elections?

The underhanded tactic of busing Arab voters to the polling places with explicit instructions is straight out of the 2008 Obama/Axelrod/ACORN playbook. Has it backfired?

If Bibi has won, is Obama forced to get either a "good deal" or "no deal" with Iran? Is Obama denied the option to take any shitty deal he can get, just to ensure that he can claim victory for his legacy while paving the way for a nuclear armed Iran?

The Obama administration has blatantly meddled in Israel's politics vis-a-vis the West Bank/occupied territories and made a lot of fair weather friends among the Palestinians. What did Obama and Jarrett promise them? If Netanyahu has won, those promises are null and void. What happens now, if Obama and Jarrett are forced to renege?

Netanyahu has vowed to wage war against Iran unilaterally if necessary, when re-elected, if Obama and Kerry can't achieve a deal that slams the door on Iran's nuclear aspirations. Many Leftists in America are quick to say, "Why can't Israel fight its own battles?" Well, Obama doesn't really want that, and now it has a very good chance of happening, because Israel can't let the ARAK breeder reactor go online. So... how will Obama and Jarrett prevent Israel from fighting its own battles?

And then of course there are the more coarse, unseemly questions, like: isn't this true to the Obama record of failing at everything that requires cooperation? First it was the Chicago Olympics. Then the Gitmo closure that wasn't. Then the backroom/procedural passage of Obamacare, a law so bad that Obama has sealed his legacy as an authoritarian by having to repeatedly meddle with the legislation by executive fiat. Then the unilateral withdrawal from Iraq, paving the way for the rise of ISIS. (I know, I know, the loser says ISIS is Bush's fault.) Then Libya. Then Crimea. Then the fall of Yemen. Now this.

Not official yet. Netanyahu has declared victory, but we won't know until tomorrow in the U.S. if he has jumped the gun.

The fact he is even close is amazing, given the scope of our country's attempt to tamper with the election.

 

They have to manually count the ballots.

And even if Netanyahu "wins," he will still face an uphill climb to assemble the necessary coalition votes in the Israeli parliament.

 

I'm sure if the sun does rise tomorrow, you will blame Obama.

And my point was that it isn't just the american leftist media (as you claim) that is calling it close. You are the one who is calling it for Bibi.

I found it amusing/ironic, an hour ago, that our own media wasn't even reporting Netanyahu's claim. But that is starting to change. USA Today is reporting his claim now.

 

I don't suppose you'll ever concede that Axelrod's campaign stooges and our taxpayer dollars had no business in Israel these past few months.

I also don't suppose you'll ever concede the irony that Valerie Jarrett had Obama ripping Congress for its "breech of international protocol" by giving an audience to Netanyahu so close to the election, on the grounds of interference, while at the same time Jarrett and Obama had hundreds of campaign operatives in Israel, overtly fucking with their system of democracy on our dime.
