Realme has confirmed the launch date for its anticipated Realme GT6 model: June 20.
This week, Realme Vice President and President of Realme Global Marketing Chase Xu posted a video clip teasing the debut of the Realme GT6.
The post reveals the return of the GT series in the global market. The clip does not directly specify that it would be the GT6 that would make the debut soon, but the different clues in the post and the video point to the model.
The date of the launch was also not directly revealed in the post, but at the 19s mark of the clip, Xu was shown reading a newspaper with the picture of a GT phone and a “June 20” date. Moreover, the image comes with the tagline “Power meets AI,” which we previously encountered in earlier teases of the brand.
This AI tease complements an earlier leak involving the model’s retail box, which shows that it will be marketed as an AI phone. At the back of the box, specific AI features of the phone are indicated: AI Night Vision, AI Smart Removal, AI Smart Loop, and AI Smart Search. It is unknown if the GT6 will also get generative AI, but it should be unsurprising as it was earlier reported that Oppo and OnePlus would soon receive Google’s Gemini Ultra 1.0.
Aside from the AI features, the Realme GT6 is expected to also offer a Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chip, 16GB RAM (other options to be announced soon), 5500mAh battery capacity, SuperVOOC charging technology, support for 5G and NFC, and the Realme UI 5.0.
